WEBCUP 2006 Rules And Regulations
The WEBCUP Competition is open to all organizations and individuals involved in the process of developing corporate web sites FOR FREE.
Nominator web site -as mentioned web site hereinafter- has to meet the following criteria to be noticed by the jury:
The deadline for entering the 2006 WEBCUP (INTWEBFEST Competition) is November 15, 2006. Judging will take place from September 5 and it lasts until September 20. Winners will be notified by E-mail one week prior to the festival’s opening date, which is November 1st.
Web site must be fully uploaded and functional. Do not enter “Under Construction” pages or “Home Page Only” web sites.
Web sites that are not currently available online may be submitted via CD-ROM. Please complete the Online Application Form and in the URL field, enter "CD-ROM". Submit three copies of the site on CD-ROM with the entry number assigned by the online entry submission process on each disk. Send your CD-ROMs to the festival’s office found in Contacts page.
Pornographic web sites or Adult Entertainment web sites have no opportunities to nominate here.
We do not rate or post awards to sexually explicit, racist, or violent websites.
Web site must clearly name its administrator or its owner in one of its pages. The WEBCUP cannot identify who is the site administrator or owner by any other way. Additionally the prize will be given to the site owner or administrator. The web site administrator will forward the award to its winner or introduce other crew members to get the award.
Each web site will be judged with all the jury members. Each jury member will add its points to the web site points in its category of profession. The Graphics Jury Member will give the GUI points for instance and so on. The WEBCUP keeps the right of selecting and pointing without any responsibilities in any way, and without detail of the reason of rejection or award. This is a competition!
Imported parts of the web site has no score for the nominator web site. I.e. if the web site consists any pictures, links, processes, frame contents etc. from any external source (not under the website’s sub-domain) these parts are not considered.
As the WEBCUP is noticeably valuing the copyright laws, jury will not accept web sites that are disturbing the copyright. Web site must functionally respect the copyright.
Web sites are judged between 15th and 29th of February 2006. Each web site will be noticed ONE time by each judge regularly. Web site should be at its highest performance during this period to achieve more scores.
As a web site is an alive material changing during time, web sites are noticed at the judgment instance only. The festival takes no responsibilities for future changes of the web site.
The festival is neither against any religion or believe nor accept web sites with restricted, strong or aggressive contents against any person, religion, believe or regime.
Forums, chat rooms, message boards and comment pages are not treated as web sites and cannot participate in the WEBCUP 2006.
